Cinnamon is extracted from the inner bark of trees belonging to Cinnamomum Genus. When it dries, it nicely curls up to form cinnamon sticks. Cinnamon is a tropical spice and is grown in Peninsular India, Sri Lanka and other tropical countries like Uganda. However, it is the Ceylon Cinnamon (grown in Sri Lanka) which is considered superior as compared to other types.
Cinnamon has many health benefits such as
